2. Motivation for choosing Real Estate:
I chose a career in real estate because I sold my own home by owner and lost over $10,000 in the transaction because I did not understand all the contract implications. This event spurred me into action to obtain my license and ensure that I would not let that same thing happen to anyone I represent. To that end, it is not unusual for my sellers to see more money in on their closing statement than they would have without my help. I love helping people maximize their investment in real estate through 1031 exchanges, new construction homes, vacation homes, investment rentals and luxury resort properties.
3. Education & Certifications:
“You don’t know what you don’t know” is my motto. This is true for sellers, buyers and real estate agents. Therefore, I am committed to continually increasing my real estate and investment education to further serve my customers. I have extensive training and certifications in luxury home marketing, 1031 exchanges, contracts, negotiation skills, tax liens, building permits, Builder options & comparisons, aging in place homes, flood zones & termites.
4. Direct Life Experience:
I am an experienced boat owner and know what to look for when buying or selling waterfront property – from navigable waterways, bulkheads, docks, boat lifts and tidal swings – I have the experience to properly represent a customer looking to market or purchase their waterfront investment. I live in a marina community and would happily take a customer to see their potential home by water so they can truly appreciate the “front side of the home” as it is meant to be experienced.
5. Serve to Live, Live to Serve:
I am currently involved with the John Maxwell Team, Working Women of Tampa Bay, Tampa Bay Watch and the National Association of Professional Woman. Previously, I was a member of WomenAide, Northeast Florida Builders Association, Girl Scouts, United Methodist Church Leadership Team, Christian Enrichment School Dean, Northeast Florida Scottish Games & Festival committee, Florida Tackle & Gun Club and the Captains’ Club.
